The field of climate biotech is rapidly expanding. Beyond the technical and logistical challenges of conducting research, practitioners in this field must utilize a wide variety of strategies for engaging with different audiences, ranging from journalists to local community members to politicians and regulators.

What are the best approaches to designing and implementing engagements that are appropriately attuned to the needs, interests, concerns and perspectives of different stakeholders?

On Wednesday February 19 we hosted an online dialogue about challenges, and solutions, to engaging around climate biotech.

Our team led an interactive, moderated conversation to allow all attendees to share their personal experiences, engage in communal learning and coalesce around best practices in communication and engagement.

We explored a range of topics, including:
1. How do you engage with target communities about your tech?
2. What sort of feedback have you gotten/do you anticipate getting about your tech?
3. How does stakeholder input affect your research?
4. What concerns do you have about greenwashing related to your tech?
